Third Space Brewing, 1505 W. St. Paul Ave., will expand production and its reach in southeastern Wisconsin, co-founder Andy Gehl said Wednesday.

The brewery will add two 90-barrel fermentation tanks and a 90-barrel bright tank, along with a five-barrel pilot system that will give co-founder and brewmaster Kevin Wright the opportunity to experiment with new beers.

Small-batch beers from the pilot brewery will be introduced in the tap room or included in the brewery’s In the Spirit and Specialty IPA series. The expansion also includes the installation of a malt silo in front of the building.

Production expansion begins in spring.

Third Space will work with Beechwood Sales and Service of New Berlin to distribute beers to Racine, Kenosha, Walworth County and north to Ozaukee County. Distribution begins in January.
