Mystic Knot Barrel-Aged Irish Coffee Stout returns March 7th with an Irish Celebration of Coffee and Beer!

Kick off your 2020 St. Patrick’s Day festivities at Third Space with some Irish Music from the Evan and Tom Leahy Irish Band while sipping on a barrel-aged Mystic Knot or this year’s limited variant, Mystic Pancakes.

Our friends at Stone Creek Coffee will join us throughout the day for coffee samplings, Brew Bombs, and two special presentations on coffee and beer pairings.

The Beer

Mystic Knot is an Imperial Cream Stout aged in bourbon barrels for seven months with Stone Creek’s 3 Volcanoes coffee added. It’s a special beer that tastes like the classic Irish Coffee

This year’s variant is Mystic Pancakes. It takes the classic Mystic Knot and adds maple syrup to create the perfect breakfast brew.

Beer Release and On-line Pre-Sale

2020 Mystic Knot and its limited variant Mystic Pancakes will be available on draft and in 12oz cans starting at noon on March 7th.

4-packs of Mystic Knot and single cans of Mystic Pancakes may be reserved in advance if you do not want to wait in line on March 7th. Mystic can sales are Now Open. Click below to reserve your cans today.

There are approximately 400 cans of Mystic Pancakes available and close to 900 4-packs of Mystic Knot available.

You must be 21 to purchase beers and a valid ID will be required at pick-up.

Customers can pick-up Mystic beers starting March 7th and ending on March 22nd. If you can’t make it for the party on March 7th we will hold your beer only until March 22nd. At that time, any beer not picked up will be made available for sale to the public. To pick up your beer, bring your “ticket” that shows what you purchased along with a photo ID to our taproom during our open hours from March 7th-22nd. We are not allowing any proxies for this beer because we have a 2 week window for pick ups.

If you do not want to pre-order your beer, you can likely also purchase it starting on March 7th at noon (if supplies last after the pre-sale).

A Celebration of Coffee and Beer

March 7th will be a celebration of coffee and beer at Third Space. At 1:00 and 3:00 we will host a special presentation and sampling discussing how and why we paired certain coffees with this particular beer. Hear from Stone Creek’s coffee guru, Drew Pond and Third Space Brewing’s Brewmaster, Kevin Wright. Sample Mystic Knot and its coffee before they are combined.

We will not be offering advanced tickets for the coffee/beer presentations but you will be able to sign up for a space at them when we open at noon on March 7th.

Brew Bombs

We will have a special cold Stone Creek espresso shot on hand that you can order with your Third Space beer. We will have a menu of suggested pairings that we have curated with the team at Stone Creek but you are welcome to experiment on your own to see how coffee and beer can enhance certain flavors when paired together.

Live Irish Music

We will have live Irish tunes from the Evan and Tom Leahy Irish Band throughout the afternoon. Wear your green and start getting in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit with us over a few Irish coffee brews!
